SUMMARY
The main objective of the present work is the realization of a proposal of ecological connectivity for the giant otter ‘Pteronura brasiliensis’, in Ticuna indigenous territory, in the Colombian Amazon; elaborating in this regard a detailed cartography, and the analysis of the key aspects that affect the functionality of the ecological connectivity of said species.
In addition, this work includes the following two sections, both with its corresponding detailed cartography:
– Definition, description and justification of high value areas Ecological (core-areas) of the municipality.
– Definition, description and justification of ecological corridors Township.
On the other hand and given the absence of previous analysis on connectivity Ecological in the indigenous territory Ticuna, another objective of this study has been to make a diagnosis of connectivity in this area.
Logically, it has been tried that the connectivity proposal is consistent with others carried out in this regard at regional level, such as the Network of Ecological Corridors of the Basque Country or the recent revision of the Territorial Planning Guidelines (DOT). That is why an important effort has been made to try to achieve this coherence between the municipal proposal and those already existing in the supramunicipal sphere.
